Role: Sr Data Scientist with (FAANG or Product based clients experience)

Location: Remote but Pacific Zone people are preferred

Duration: 12+ months

Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, Tableau, and strong statistical knowledge.
Strong stakeholder management skills; ability to share insights clearly without being overly technical; background in operations is preferred.
Product Analyst experience: Ability to make decisions on key projects, prioritize effectively, and sign off on projects using business logic.
Former Meta experience would be a strong plus.

Years of Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of experience in data science, statistics, analytics, and reporting.

Degrees/Certifications Required:

Master's degree in Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Summary:

The main function of the this role is to assist in Org Planning tool area data scientist coverage for Meta IC5 type of work - data science discovery analysis to identify opportunities with engineering actionable insights to help the product team to deliver cover value better and move the needle of the topline metrics; metrics definition, product / feature release reporting and adhoc data analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

Apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement.

Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.

Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.

Work with product engineers to translate prototypes into new products, services, and features and provide guidelines for large-scale implementation.

Provide Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization support, which includes, but limited to support for the online customer service dashboards and other ad-hoc requests requiring data analysis and visual support.

Skills:

8+ years experience in data science, statistics, analytics and reporting

Experienced in either programming languages such as SQL, Python and R, big data tools such as Hadoop, or data visualization tools such as Tableau.

The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics.

Experience working with large datasets.

General analytics reporting, opportunity analysis
