Role: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 months to perm

Must have:

• Data science experience
• PHD or ACAS or FCAS
• R or python
• SQL
• Pricing experience
• Actuary experience
• Property and casualty experience

Job description:

• Data acquisition
• Model deployment
• Business consultation

Areas of Focus:

• Model deployment infrastructure
• Data acquisition and engineering
• Data pipelines and automation
• Productive analytics

Model Building:

• Develop pricing models to assess expected risk and profitability
• Work closely with actuaries to ensure models meet underwriting standards
• Present models to various stakeholders, including chief actuaries and business leaders
• Ensure models align with underwriting appetite and include buyouts

Experience:

• Strong background in insurance, preferably with domain expertise
• Ability to build and run models from Day 1
• Deep understanding of insurance to navigate complex modeling tasks

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Graduate degree in math or statistics
