About the Role
Are you the kind of person who builds things just for fun? Do you get excited by 3D printers, Arduino boards, LED matrices, or designing gadgets that do cool stuff? This might just be your dream job.
CedarLabs is creating hands-on STEM project boxes for kids aged 6 and up—think CrunchLabs or KiwiCo, but with our own creative twist. We’re looking for curious, inventive engineers to help design and prototype exciting STEM projects that inspire hands-on learning and problem solving.
This is a remote, flexible role with multiple positions available. We’re looking for individuals who are experts in at least one of the following areas:
- 3D modeling using Fusion 360
- Microcontroller programming (Arduino or equivalent)
- Electronics and circuit design
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design fun, hands-on STEM projects for kids
- Develop and test working prototypes
- Collaborate with our educational team to align designs with key learning goals
- Create simple, clear instructions for kids to build and explore
- Iterate on designs based on testing and feedback
What We’re Looking For
- Expertise in at least one of the following:
- A portfolio of personal, open-source, or community projects
- Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Clear communication and the ability to work independently
- A genuine interest in building creative and educational experiences for kids
- No experience in STEM education required – passion and creativity matter more
