Job Summary:
Eventbrite is the world’s largest self-service ticketing platform, and they are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to enhance their Ads business. This role involves extending the framework and APIs for the ads creator ecosystem and building user interfaces that provide a delightful experience for event creators and advertisers.
Responsibilities:
• Extend the underlying framework and APIs for the ads creator ecosystem.
• Contribute to building beautiful, responsive, delightful and intuitive user interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to formulate and implement high quality, reliable solutions to various needs and requirements.
• Solve challenging technical problems and own impactful features across the full stack.
• Guide junior engineers and influence engineering leaders across the ad business and creator organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6 years experience building customer-facing software applications
• Strong experience with high-level languages, specifically Python and TypeScript
• Practical experience working with HTML, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript. Modern frontend frameworks like React
• Familiarity with the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Unit-testing expertise required, experience with TDD or BDD is an added bonus
• You have experience designing and developing APIs
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or Google Cloud Services
• Experience with MySQL, Aurora, or other RDBMS (NoSQL is a plus)
• A result driven self starter with great communication and collaboration skills who enjoys learning and helping their teammates grow
• You care about making sure your code is maintainable and well tested
• You work with teams that are continuously delivering and automating processes, you are excited about working in a world class SDLC environment
• Experience in Martech, Ads, or similar industries and functions
Preferred:
• Experience with AWS (preferred) or Google Cloud Services
• A/B Testing knowledge and/or experience
• Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
• Experience with Timestream, DynamoDB, or Snowflake
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as CDK or Terraform
