Job Summary:
Cherokee Federal is a division of tribally owned federal contracting companies focused on serving the government’s mission. The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making, utilizing statistical techniques and data visualization methods.
Responsibilities:
• Receives, processes, conducts data entry, data analysis, data quality assurance, data quality control, and data integration.
• Reviews and analyzes data for accuracy.
• Interacts with personnel, facility managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Proposes, plans, documents, and implements process improvement initiatives using continuous improvement approaches.
• Synthesizes and analyzes information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities and risks regarding processes and process improvements using standard statistical techniques.
• Works with stakeholders to create and update measurement plans.
• Provides meaningful qualitative and quantitative reports, analysis, and evaluation to management, including feedback on maximizing process effectiveness and efficiency.
• Participates in the ongoing development of data quality control, data collection, and reporting to enhance decision-making capabilities, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of performance data.
• Provides reports and analysis on service-level performance.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. citizenship
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or data-related field of study
• 3 years of documented experience in data entry, management, and analysis
• A strong understanding of operations, maintenance, planning, finances, and environmental areas of public health
• Excellent communication skills, both oral, visual, and written
• Proficient computer skills working with the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use word processing programs, spreadsheets, and basic e-mail programs
• Ability to research requests, identify and troubleshoot possible problems
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to pass a drug screening and a federal background check
• SQL experience
• Must pass the pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
Preferred:
• CDC experience and current investigation
