This role provides a unique opportunity to transition from high-level technical support into a software engineering position focused on billing and invoicing systems. You will leverage your experience in troubleshooting complex financial processes to design, build, and maintain systems that prevent issues before they arise. Working closely with finance and operations teams, you will identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and develop automation solutions that reduce operational toil. The role combines hands-on coding with mentorship and technical leadership, allowing you to influence the reliability and scalability of critical business systems. You will collaborate with a globally distributed, fast-paced team and play a pivotal role in enhancing both system observability and developer productivity.

• Accountabilities:
• Design, build, and maintain billing and invoicing systems that improve accuracy and reduce operational issues.
• Enhance system observability by improving monitoring, logging, and alerting for financial processes.
• Automate manual processes to reduce operational toil, turning support knowledge into permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, identify inefficiencies, and develop technical solutions.
• Review code, provide feedback, and mentor junior engineers on best practices for code quality and maintainability.
• Lead efforts to improve codebase health and manage technical debt through regular housekeeping initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Requirements:
• 3+ years in high-level technical support (Tier 3/Tier 4, Business Systems Analyst, or Production Support) with focus on billing, invoicing, or financial systems.
• Proven advanced troubleshooting skills for data discrepancies, logs, and complex business processes.
• 1+ years of software development experience, with solid programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience querying both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong communication skills in English, able to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle NetSuite, DealHub, Salesforce, Workato, Fivetran, or cloud-based solutions.
