This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer - Credit Cycle in India.

In this role, you will take a leading position in designing, developing, and maintaining core services that power the credit lifecycle platform. You will contribute to highly scalable, secure, and observable systems that support critical financial operations such as account debt control, invoice closure, and transaction integrity. Working in a cloud-native environment, you will influence technical direction, solve complex engineering challenges, and deliver resilient solutions that meet stringent reliability and performance standards. The role requires collaboration across teams, ownership of production systems, and engagement in technical leadership and innovation. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to mission-critical services that directly impact clients and end users globally. You will gain exposure to microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and modern cloud technologies while shaping best practices for development and operations.

Accountabilities

Design, build, and deliver end-to-end, scalable, high-performance services for credit cycle operations
Lead technical discussions and guide engineering teams in translating complex business requirements into effective solutions
Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance through documentation, testing, and proactive incident management
Solve complex problems involving concurrency, event processing, resilience, and cost optimization
Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems and maintain high service availability
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, architecture, and infrastructure teams to align technical strategy with business goals
Advocate for technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within the team

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in Java
Strong experience in microservices architecture and event-driven systems using solutions such as Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, RabbitMQ, or AWS Kinesis
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL
Knowledge of containerization, automated testing, and code review processes
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Kanban/Scrum) and remote, multicultural team collaboration
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure
Preferred: experience in the payments or financial services industry, knowledge of Azure/Google Cloud, and Golang
