One of our companies is currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Contact Center Pro) in United States.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the technical direction and vision for a squad of engineers, driving both short-term and long-term strategies to achieve high-impact outcomes. You will make key technical decisions and guide your team in building and scaling products. This position requires a technical leader who thrives in an innovative and fast-paced environment, balancing rapid iteration with maintaining product quality. You'll mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and ensure the team adheres to best practices in coding and design.
Accountabilities:
- Own and define the short and long-term technical vision of your engineering squad
- Drive major technical decisions, fostering a collaborative environment where team members are empowered to contribute
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, elevating their skills and ensuring high-quality outputs
- Conduct regular technical design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high standards
- Share knowledge and thought leadership through tech talks, blog posts, and other forms of communication
- Foster effective communication across teams, collaborating with product managers, customers, partners, and other leadership
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, focusing on API design, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers
- 15+ years of industry experience in software development and engineering leadership
- Expertise in the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar)
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience with React is a plus
- Proficient in version control systems like Git, with a solid understanding of unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field
