Staff Data Scientist (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and lead enterprise-scale AI and machine learning solutions that drive strategic business outcomes. The Staff Data Scientist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready AI systems, leveraging Large Language Models, Generative AI, and custom AI/ML solutions. Candidates will operate in a cloud-native environment, managing data acquisition, processing, model development, and deployment while ensuring best practices for quality, scalability, and reliability. This position is ideal for experts who enjoy solving complex problems, providing technical guidance, and contributing to AI innovation across multiple initiatives.

Accountabilities

The Staff Data Scientist will:

• Design, build, and deploy production-ready AI solutions, including LLMs and specialized AI models
• Lead model research, data analysis, and evaluation to recommend optimal AI/ML solutions
• Provide technical guidance across multiple initiatives and support prioritization of critical projects
• Contribute to end-to-end AI workflows, including data acquisition, validation, feature engineering, model training, testing, and deployment
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and data analysis to ensure high-quality, reliable AI services
• Ensure AI solutions meet performance, accuracy, and reliability standards through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance AI systems and infrastructure

Requirements

Candidates should possess:

• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI engineering, or related quantitative roles
• 4+ years of professional experience with Python and major AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with Large Language Models, Generative AI, and cloud-native AI services
• Knowledge of optimizing NLP or Computer Vision models for specialized tasks
• Proven track record of developing custom AI models and supporting their lifecycle
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in cloud-native environments and AI system deployment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance on complex AI projects
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
