Sr. Software Engineer (RPA)

The Sr. Software Engineer (RPA) will be a key contributor to designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions that optimize business processes. This role combines software engineering, robotic process automation, and DevOps practices to build scalable, secure, and efficient software systems. You will work in a collaborative, remote-first environment with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously improve automation pipelines. The position offers the opportunity to work with modern development frameworks, cloud-based containerized environments, and cutting-edge RPA technologies, while contributing directly to impactful projects supporting mission-critical operations.

• Accountabilities:
• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy software using Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
• Build and maintain robotic process automation (RPA) bots using Automation Anywhere and UiPath.
• Develop automated CI/CD build and deployment pipelines with tools such as Jenkins/CloudBees, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement automated software testing pipelines using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and other tools.
• Collaborate with Agile teams, attend daily scrums, and demonstrate working software while supporting geographically distributed team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, system, and software integration issues.
• Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate technical risks to ensure project success.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• 4–8 years of professional software development experience, or 2–6 years with a Master’s degree.
• Experience developing RPA bots using Automation Anywhere and/or UiPath.
• Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, Java, and SQL.
• Experience with DevOps tools and pipelines, including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with automated software testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and remote team collaboration.
• Experience developing software in UNIX/Linux environments and cloud-based containerized systems.
• Web development experience with frameworks such as React.
• DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 60 days of start.
