We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a high-performance managed search platform. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable backend services, implementing robust APIs, and ensuring reliability for enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and QA, to deliver innovative solutions from conception to deployment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that directly impact platform performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building high-quality software in a remote-first, collaborative environment. You will also contribute to automation, deployment optimizations, and system reliability enhancements.

Accountabilities:

Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance
Architect and implement solutions for enterprise-level use cases and strategic partners
Optimize deployment and provisioning workflows through automation to improve operational efficiency
Troubleshoot complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features
Contribute to code quality, documentation, and adoption of best practices across the engineering team

Requirements

Strong backend development experience with Python
Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, with experience in building APIs (REST, GraphQL)
Familiarity with Django framework and related technologies is a plus
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Exposure to search platforms such as Solr or Elasticsearch is advantageous
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS
Proven ability to solve complex production issues and improve system performance
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment to deliver commercial-grade applications
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to quickly learn new technologies
