This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of OpenX. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer IV - API/UI in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and develop scalable APIs and user interfaces for a new, innovative product within a rapidly evolving platform. You will lead the full development lifecycle, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to turn advanced algorithms into intuitive tools that enhance media activation workflows. The position requires a proactive, organized engineer with strong full-stack expertise who thrives in a remote-first environment. You will play a key role in shaping the user experience and driving engineering excellence within a culture that values teamwork, customer focus, and continuous learning.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of self-service APIs and user interfaces for a new product from the ground up
  • Utilize existing platform components to build scalable, performant, and user-friendly solutions
  • Collaborate with data science and product teams to translate optimization algorithms into practical tools
  • Facilitate discussions with team members and stakeholders to identify and implement the best solutions
  • Own end-to-end feature delivery, including architecture, coding, testing, documentation, rollout, and adoption
  • Promote engineering best practices through code reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • 8+ years of full-stack development experience with strong backend proficiency in Python and frontend expertise in React and TypeScript
  • Proven experience building RESTful APIs, including data modeling, error handling, and performance tuning
  • Skilled in both SQL and NoSQL database design, querying, and optimization
  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks such as pytest, Cypress, and Playwright
  • Demonstrated ability to launch new products and navigate ambiguity by breaking down complex problems into clear deliverables
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working closely with product and design teams
  • Preferred experience includes SaaS platforms, digital media or advertising technology, design systems, GraphQL, and cloud-native environments (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD)
