One of our companies is currently looking for a Software Engineer II, Cloud Infrastructure in the United States.
In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, ensuring that the public cloud offerings are secure, efficient, and reliable. You will work closely with internal teams to implement solutions that support the company's growth while focusing on automation to streamline processes. Your work will directly impact the engineering team's ability to deliver new products and features, providing guidance and expertise to help them use cloud resources efficiently and reduce friction in their workflows.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms
- Develop automation tools and infrastructure-as-code solutions to ensure the public cloud is used in a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient manner
- Build and maintain systems using Python or Golang to automate infrastructure management and reduce manual work
- Provide mentorship and guidance on best practices related to cloud infrastructure and automation
- Work with DevOps principles to drive the adoption of best practices across the organization
- Participate in the recruiting process, including attending events, providing referrals, and interviewing candidates
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 6+ years of experience in a DevOps-focused role, with at least 3 years working with AWS
- Proficiency with Linux systems and networking
- Experience in Python or Golang programming
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and eliminate process friction
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
