Join a globally distributed team focused on transforming how the world views Earth from space. In this role, you'll help develop powerful mosaicing algorithms and scale image processing systems that produce consistent, high-quality Earth imagery. Your contributions will directly support critical applications such as environmental monitoring, global infrastructure tracking, and sustainable development. You'll collaborate across technical teams and help ensure that complex data workflows run smoothly, efficiently, and at global scale—all within a mission-driven, innovative work environment.

Accountabilities:

Improve and maintain advanced image processing algorithms used to generate Mosaic (Basemap) products
Ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable global data production pipelines
Optimize system performance to ensure timely delivery of customer-requested datasets
Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to improve image acquisition, quality control, and product delivery
Own and evolve scheduling systems that determine production priorities based on data availability and customer needs

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in a related engineering or data science role
Strong proficiency in scientific Python programming
Familiarity with geospatial data and/or image processing methodologies
Proven experience deploying scalable software workloads in production environments
Excellent communication skills, especially in asynchronous and remote-first settings
Comfortable with collaborative version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab
Ability to rapidly learn new tools and technologies as needed
Bonus: Experience with satellite imagery, observability tools (logging/alerting), or technical project management
