As a Senior Software Engineer in Store Technology, you will drive the design, development, and maintenance of innovative software solutions that enhance store operations and customer experiences across a nationwide retail network. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, reliable, and secure applications, contributing directly to operational efficiency and technology modernization. This role offers hands-on opportunities across the full technology stack, from front-end to back-end, with exposure to cloud services, mobile applications, and modern development frameworks. You will mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction, and help shape the future of in-store technology. Accountabilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications that improve store operations, communication, and customer experiences
Monitor, troubleshoot, and correct complex software defects to ensure reliability and performance
Produce concepts, prototypes, and technical solutions for digital products and services
Collaborate with product, operations, and other engineering teams to optimize software performance, security, and scalability
Manage and prioritize development tasks in alignment with business objectives and software roadmaps
Guide junior engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to foster team growth
Stay up to date with technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to inform development strategies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
3-6 years of relevant software development experience, with at least some experience coordinating or mentoring others
Proven expertise in full-stack development using technologies such as .NET, React Native, Spring Boot, and Azure cloud services
Strong experience in software design, debugging, fault diagnosis, and performance optimization
Solid understanding of database design, legacy systems, and technical requirements gathering
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions
Strong collaboration, communication, and customer-focused skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
