This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Data Acquisition Team in United States.

The Senior Software Engineer on the Data Acquisition team will play a pivotal role in building scalable and reliable pipelines that unify diverse healthcare data sources. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining services that collect, transform, and deliver patient data at high volume for both internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to create innovative solutions that make complex health data accessible and actionable. The position requires hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, backend services, and operational excellence in production environments. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, thrives in a dynamic startup environment, and is passionate about improving healthcare through technology.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and backend services for collecting and processing health data
  • Integrate external healthcare data networks and APIs into the platform for internal and customer-facing applications
  • Ensure operational stability, cost efficiency, and scalability of deployed systems
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust solutions
  • Implement deployment, monitoring, and automation solutions for production systems using cloud services
  • Maintain high code quality, security, and documentation standards across all systems

Requirements

  • Proven experience building backend software in Go, NodeJS, or similar languages
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef)
  • Hands-on experience with data pipeline operations, deployment technologies (Github Actions, CircleCI, CodeDeploy), and scalable services
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, large-scale distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
  • Problem-solving mindset, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely in a collaborative environment
  • Bonus: Experience with healthcare data, FHIR/TEFCA standards, application security, and services consumed by third-party developers
