This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Darren Caddle. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Back-end in United States.

In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain back-end systems for a fast-growing investor identity platform, shaping the way production-quality systems are developed, deployed, and operated. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and improve user experiences through innovative software. The position offers a remote-first, collaborative environment where curiosity, continuous learning, and technical excellence are highly valued. Your contributions will directly impact the platform's scalability, reliability, and ability to serve clients efficiently.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain back-end systems using modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Support existing products and features while designing and implementing new ones
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, business development, and legal teams to define requirements and provide technical guidance
  • Engineer innovative solutions for collecting and analyzing critical business metrics across digital experiences
  • Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical strategy planning
  • Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code through testing, monitoring, and best practices
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and developer efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience coding in at least one programming language
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP, browser behavior, cookies, CSP, and CORS
  • Solid relational database fundamentals and experience querying large datasets
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command-line tools
  • Experience building collaborative, high-quality software in fast-paced, remote-first environments
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical ideas clearly and empathetically
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new languages and frameworks (experience with Go, Python, Ruby, Elixir, Rust, or Clojure is a plus)
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based deployments is preferred
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React or Angular) or prior security/pen-testing roles is a bonus
