This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Kubernetes Software Engineer in Germany.

In this role, you will take part in building and scaling next-generation infrastructure for AI and data-intensive workloads, helping enterprises deploy Kubernetes-native solutions across diverse environments. You will work on challenging projects involving automation, orchestration, and system integration, while collaborating with highly skilled engineering and customer teams. This opportunity allows you to contribute to open-source projects, shape architectural decisions, and deliver reliable, production-ready platforms. The environment is dynamic, agile, and innovation-driven, with a strong focus on solving complex technical challenges.

Accountabilities

Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes integrations with customer systems
Automate infrastructure provisioning and service integrations to ensure efficiency and reliability
Provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents with a focus on customer impact
Collaborate closely with internal teams and customer application developers in an agile (Scrum) environment
Contribute to architectural decisions and open-source initiatives while supporting AI-related workloads
Work with technologies such as Kubeflow, NGINX, Cilium, Istio, Harbor, Grafana, CI/CD tools, and various programming frameworks

Requirements

Strong expertise in Kubernetes, both as a user and operator
Solid experience in automated software testing, CI/CD, and release management
Knowledge of Linux, virtualization, and storage technologies
Hands-on experience in system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization
Ability to debug, diagnose, and resolve complex production software issues
Experience with microservices-based architectures and distributed systems
University/Master's degree in Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Nice to have: OpenStack familiarity, experience onboarding apps to the cloud, production operations expertise, large-scale system design, and operating AI workloads
