Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable data architectures across the organization. This role is critical in building robust data pipelines, optimizing workflows, and ensuring data quality, governance, and security. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic data initiatives and delivering solutions that drive business value. Accountabilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data architectures to support business needs.
• Develop, automate, and maintain production-grade data pipelines using modern data stack tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable data solutions that drive strategic decisions.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and quality standards across all data initiatives.
• Optimize data workflows and implement observability frameworks to monitor pipeline performance, reliability, and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in data-rich environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading data architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and exposure to Infrastructure as Code or remote configuration tools.
• Expertise with cloud-native data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, and data lake architectures.
• Experience with transformation tools like dbt and distributed data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink).
• Strong coding skills in Python/Scala and advanced SQL proficiency across relational and non-relational databases.
• Proven ability to drive end-to-end data platform solutions from design to deployment.
• Excellent communication skills to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team environments.
