As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining cloud-based analytics solutions that support a rapidly growing market in battery storage and energy systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven features and ensure reliable, scalable services. Your work will impact customer decision-making by providing clear, actionable insights from complex datasets. This role combines hands-on software development with strategic problem-solving and encourages innovation in both backend and full-stack solutions. You will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where experimentation, continuous improvement, and direct customer feedback drive every development cycle.

Accountabilities:

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based backend services and data pipelines for large-scale analytics applications
Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features that translate complex battery data into actionable insights
Ensure high system reliability, data availability, and smooth operation across production deployments
Utilize CI/CD workflows to ship updates frequently and maintain a tight feedback loop with customers
Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and cross-team discussions to promote best practices and continuous learning
Actively participate in problem-solving and debugging to address performance, reliability, or customer-specific issues

Requirements

3-8 years of experience as a software engineer on Cloud/SaaS products, preferably including analytics, dashboards, or data management
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, AWS, and at least one modern backend or frontend framework
Understanding of cloud infrastructure, cloud-based deployment workflows, and scalable system design
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Bonus: Experience with Spark, Databricks, pytest, Angular/TypeScript, and Infrastructure as Code
Proactive, action-oriented mindset with a bias for delivering results and improving system performance
