As a Sales Engineer - Federal, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and solution expert, working closely with public sector partners to design and implement cutting-edge IT operations solutions. You will lead technical presentations, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and architecture design sessions that showcase the value and capabilities of advanced AIOps platforms. Collaborating with internal teams and enterprise stakeholders, you will translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights, ensuring scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence digital transformation initiatives across federal, state, and local organizations while building strong, long-term technical partnerships in a high-impact environment.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for public sector partners and customers.
- Develop and deliver tailored technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements that highlight platform capabilities.
- Create detailed technical responses to RFPs, aligning solutions with customer requirements and partner frameworks.
- Design logical and physical architecture diagrams to illustrate integration within complex enterprise environments.
- Lead technical workshops, enablement sessions, and vertical-specific solution discussions.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to provide feedback and influence platform enhancements.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, ensuring seamless technical engagement with partners and customers.
- Travel as needed to engage with partners and customers, ensuring strong technical collaboration and solution adoption.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or a similar role, with a focus on public sector environments.
- Strong expertise in AIOps, observability tools, and ITSM platforms (e.g., ScienceLogic, Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceNow).
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and DevOps practices.
- Proven ability to design, architect, and present scalable solutions that align with enterprise customer needs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience simplifying complex technical concepts.
- Proficiency in UNIX, TCP/IP, SNMP, XML, ODBC, Syslog, SSH, and Python; knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Ability to create technical assets such as templates, demo scripts, FAQs, and training content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust or DoD Clearance.
- Bonus: knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM, GenAI integration, PHP, and prior experience with federal IT operations.
