As a Principal Sales Engineer, you will be a key technical and consultative partner in driving enterprise sales success. You will work closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to demonstrate complex software solutions, translating technical capabilities into clear business value for clients. This role offers the opportunity to engage deeply with prospective customers, design tailored demos and workshops, and help shape the pre-sales strategy to accelerate revenue growth. You will also help refine sales engineering processes and deliver solutions that have measurable impact on client operations. This is a high-visibility position that combines technical acumen, business insight, and exceptional interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor during the sales cycle, guiding prospective clients through evaluation of software solutions.
  • Design and deliver tailored product demos and workshops that showcase value in client-specific contexts.
  • Support and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence requests.
  • Scope engagements, draft Statements of Work (SOW), and collaborate on delivery timelines with internal teams.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions from sales to client success teams post-sale.
  • Collaborate on sales engineering playbooks, processes, and collateral to drive repeatable success.
  • Travel up to 15% for in-person client workshops and strategic presentations.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales engineering, solutions engineering, pre-sales, or related technical consulting roles, preferably in financial services, insurance, or SaaS industries.
  • Strong technical foundation, with fluency in software architecture, APIs, integrations, and SaaS solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python, or similar technical tools; familiarity with AI/ML concepts is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-growth, fast-paced environments, with a strong sense of ownership and results orientation.
  • Experience with technology for regulated industries and understanding of complex, enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Collaborative team player capable of partnering with product, engineering, and client success teams.
