This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Cardlytics. We are currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer in the United States.
This is a high-impact technical leadership role where you'll help shape a large-scale API and data platform powering integrations with major financial institutions and enabling access to 160 million users. You'll guide architecture decisions, lead development efforts, and influence the platform's evolution using modern AWS technologies in a cloud-native environment. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work with distributed systems, big data pipelines, and microservices. You'll also mentor engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, scalable solutions that support business growth. Flexibility for remote work is available.
Accountabilities:
- Architect and build scalable APIs and data ingestion pipelines in a cloud-native environment using AWS technologies
- Drive complex engineering projects in close collaboration with product managers, technical leads, and sales teams
- Translate product and business requirements into technical solutions and actionable engineering roadmaps
- Oversee the full lifecycle of production deployments, following CI/CD best practices
- Lead experimentation and technical improvements, contributing to long-term architectural decisions and platform innovation
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices
- Support a reliable and secure integration platform that connects with some of the world's largest financial institutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of software development experience, with demonstrated leadership in technical projects
- Proficiency with modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Java
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, Kafka, MSK, EMR, EKS)
- Solid background in building and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, and big data applications (e.g., Spark)
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and scalable data platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, modern development tools, and testing/documentation practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and disciplines
- Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams
- Preferred: Background in ad tech, hands-on C#/.NET experience, or infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
