Accountabilities:

Develop and maintain complex backend services with high reliability, security, and performance
Lead major platform initiatives, guiding architectural decisions and execution
Perform self-directed technical spikes and evaluations to inform platform strategy and mitigate risks
Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues using logs, telemetry, and team collaboration
Champion adoption of generative AI tools across all SDLC phases to improve workflows
Mentor and coach engineers to foster technical growth and high ownership
Continuously improve engineering practices such as code reviews, observability, and testing

Requirements

8+ years of backend software engineering experience, especially with Java and Spring Boot in scalable SaaS platforms
Strong skills designing and implementing REST APIs, with React/TypeScript experience a plus
Hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Devin) in real development work
Expertise troubleshooting complex production issues in distributed systems using telemetry and logs
Proven track record leading technical investigations, spikes, and prototyping efforts
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proactive and clear in team alignment and decision-making
Passion for mentorship and elevating engineering culture as a technical leader
