This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Integration Engineer – DICOM in the United States.
This role focuses on supporting and optimizing medical imaging infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration, reliable image routing, and high system performance across PACS and healthcare IT systems. You will collaborate closely with radiology, IT, and clinical teams to maintain data integrity and high availability of imaging operations. The position involves troubleshooting workflow issues, leading the onboarding of new imaging sites, and maintaining compliance through system updates and documentation. A combination of technical expertise in DICOM standards, HL7, FHIR, and scripting, along with strong collaboration skills, is essential. Accountabilities
Manage and maintain DICOM systems, integrations, and image routing across healthcare IT platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve imaging and system workflow issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Lead onboarding and integration of new imaging sites and modalities, ensuring smooth deployment.
Maintain system compliance through updates, security management, and thorough documentation.
Collaborate with IT, radiology, clinical teams, and vendors to optimize imaging infrastructure.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for imaging workflows and technology adoption.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience with DICOM/PACS systems and healthcare imaging workflows.
Strong knowledge of DICOM standards, HL7, FHIR, and PACS architecture.
Experience with Windows and Linux environments, including scripting with Python or PowerShell.
CIIP certification or experience with Laurel Bridge is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clinical and technical teams.
