This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an FPGA Engineer in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge FPGA solutions for broadcast video and audio applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing FPGA-based systems, integrating them with embedded hardware and electronic systems, and ensuring high performance and reliability. The position combines hands-on engineering, testing, and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver state-of-the-art media solutions. You will work on high-speed digital designs, real-time video and audio processing, and advanced PCB integration, contributing directly to innovative broadcast technology. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Accountabilities
Lead FPGA architecture design, development, and optimization for broadcast video and audio systems.
Conduct simulation, verification, testing, and debugging to ensure design functionality and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, QA, and project managers to integrate FPGA solutions.
Optimize FPGA designs for video processing, audio synchronization, and embedded systems.
Maintain and improve FPGA build processes using CI/CD tools.
Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and best practices in FPGA and broadcast engineering.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
2–5 years of FPGA design and development experience with a strong focus on electronic and PCB design.
Proficiency in hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog) and FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus).
Experience with simulation and verification tools such as Questa.
Knowledge of high-speed digital design, media streaming (ST2110), PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB, and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
Strong understanding of digital logic, embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and high-speed interface integration.
Programming and scripting experience in Python, C/C++ for FPGA programming and automation.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaboration in multi-site teams.
Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
