This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Electrical Designer - Strategic Projects in the United States.
As an Electrical Designer on the Strategic Projects team, you will contribute to the development of detailed and conceptual electrical designs for complex power systems. You will collaborate with engineers, drafters, and clients to produce high-quality drawings and documentation while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role offers exposure to a variety of project phases—from conceptual design to implementation—while providing opportunities to grow technical skills and participate in innovative engineering solutions. Accountabilities
Perform detailed design and prepare drawings for electrical power systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, conduit/cable sizing, grounding design, equipment selection, and wiring diagrams.
Support conceptual and high-level designs during bidding and early project stages.
Prepare technical documents such as basis of designs, specifications, and bills of materials.
Check and review work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for accuracy and quality.
Contribute to CAD standards and continuous improvement of design workflows.
Participate in QA/QC processes and take ownership of project deliverables.
Assist with client communications and maintain strong professional relationships.
Input and manage data in engineering modeling software and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field preferred.
0–1 years of relevant engineering design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Commitment to professional ethics, quality, and lifelong learning.
Ability to attend training, workshops, or seminars to maintain and enhance technical knowledge.
Authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel 15–25% as required.
