As a Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in shaping data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to develop analytical frameworks, statistical models, and simulations that optimize product performance and user experience. This role involves analyzing large-scale datasets, designing experiments, and uncovering actionable insights that directly influence strategy and growth. You will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work has immediate and measurable impact. Strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication are essential for driving meaningful outcomes.
Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain analytical frameworks that guide the product roadmap and strategic decisions
- Design rigorous experiments and interpret results to generate actionable insights for product improvements
- Build statistical and machine learning models to analyze trends, forecast outcomes, and optimize product performance
- Create simulations to assess the impact of potential product and policy changes
- Democratize data by building dashboards and analytical tools to enable objective, company-wide decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to support organizational goals
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines and architectures
- B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in PySpark and experience handling large datasets efficiently
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including building models, creating job pipelines, and managing platform interactions
- Proven experience with clustering models and machine learning techniques for marketing or product use cases, such as forecasting, customer segmentation, and marketing mix modeling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover data quality or consistency issues
- Excellent communication skills to present insights clearly across teams
- Preferred: advanced understanding of statistical theory, scalable pipeline design, and prior experience in both startup and large software environments
