Senior Software Engineer JVM - Java, Kotlin backend

Jersey Road Talent is partnering with a fast growing, well backed iGaming and sports tech operator here in Australia that is scaling heavily following significant overseas investment from tier one global operators.

They are now looking to hire a Senior JVM Engineer to join the core backend team.

This is not a maintenance role. This is platform level engineering.

You’ll be working on high traffic, real time systems that power a large scale wagering and gaming platform. Performance, scalability, reliability, and clean architecture genuinely matter here.

What they need

• Strong commercial experience with JVM based systems

• Advanced Java experience in production environments

• Kotlin experience within backend systems

• Experience building scalable microservices

• Solid understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance tuning

• Comfortable owning systems end to end

• Senior mindset, hands on, not just reviewing PRs
