Software Engineer- OEM SDK

Jeppesen ForeFlight is hiring a Software Engineer to join our OEM SDK Team in Austin, TX (or US Remote). As a member of this team, you will support our existing software for embedding Jeppesen Terminal Charts in avionics systems, EFBs, and simulators as well as design and build next-generation Charting solutions for integration with OEM systems.

• Demonstrated record of delivering C++ software that is portable across a wide range of target operating environments.
• Curiosity, exploring new tech to stay current, but prioritize pragmatic execution and reliable result
• Driven to complete projects independently and proactively seek advice from the team when necessary to drive complex projects to completion.

Basic Qualifications

* 3-5 years C/C++

• Excellent understanding of OOP
• Experience with MS Visual Studio C++
• Experience with unit test creation and code coverage estimation
• Experience with C++ debugging techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with automated test systems
• Experience with Python and VSCode
• Experience with one or more graphics subsystems, such as OpenGL.
• Experience with writing portable C++ in a cross-platform environment.
  Ok with travel <25% to Austin, Denver, and occasional customer sites (avionics OEM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Embedded Systems: Experience writing C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• DO-178: Experience writing software in a DO-178 Level C context is a significant plus.
• Technical Customer Support: Experience working with customer engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
• Experience with AI copilot systems for programming

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range: $96,000-$144,000. Please note- if you are in the Austin, TX area, this role is hybrid. Remote otherwise.
