Role Description

Jax Consulting is seeking a Data Scientist with deep experience in AI/ML, predictive modeling, and data visualization, particularly within Tableau and Salesforce Data Cloud (Einstein Studio). This is a full-time, remote role ideal for someone passionate about turning raw data into intelligent, real-time predictions that drive revenue, resource planning, and operational strategy.

You’ll own the full lifecycle of predictive analytics: from sourcing and shaping datasets, to building and testing machine learning models, to surfacing insights through Tableau dashboards and embedded AI in Salesforce business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Build AI/ML models to drive predictive insights—e.g., applicant propensity to enroll or churn, resource utilization, and revenue forecasting.
• Identify and engineer the right data sets to power predictions using internal, external, and third-party sources.
• Develop, test, and iterate on models using Python or R, and operationalize them in Salesforce Data Cloud (Einstein Studio) or Tableau.
• Create advanced Tableau dashboards with embedded predictions and scenario modeling for non-technical business users.
• Collaborate with solution architects and stakeholders to design data products that inform strategic decision-making and real-time business processes.
• Work closely with teams across education, nonprofit, and commercial sectors to customize predictive use cases to their goals.
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and performance across model pipelines and visualization layers.
• Present findings, explain model behavior, and provide actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 📊 3+ years in a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or Analytics role with a portfolio of deployed predictive models.
• 🤖 Demonstrated experience building ML models for classification, regression, time series forecasting, or clustering.
• 📈 Hands-on experience with Tableau, including predictive analytics integrations and visual storytelling.
• 🧠 Proficiency in Python or R for modeling, data processing, and automation.
• ☁️ Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein Studio, or similar MLOps environments (preferred)
• ❄️ Solid experience with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• 📚 Strong understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• 🧩 Familiarity with data engineering best practices: feature engineering, model evaluation, versioning, and retraining pipelines.
• 🌀 Salesforce experience or knowledge of CRM data structure is a plus.
• 🎓 Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
