The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our Maritime Transport Division. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the Marketing and Communications strategy, collaborating closely with the broader Group Marketing and Communications team.

Our business is currently undergoing a period of transformation and growth, making it an exciting time to become part of our journey. This position would be ideal for someone who is eager to engage in strategic planning while also being hands-on with marketing and communications activities.

The role involves travel to our various locations and can be based in any of our offices, with a preference for London, Aberdeen, or Knutsford.

Role Accountabilities

• Collaborate with Division and Group teams to deliver a Maritime marketing and communications strategy and plan, aligned to company priorities.
• Work in partnership with the Strategy/Business development team to manage market intelligence, informing marketing strategy, plans and tactics.
• Lead marketing content and campaigns, including appropriate channels, tools and tactics for delivery aligned to Maritime customer needs.
• Work in close partnership with the Digital team to harness power of digital channels.
• Develop and deliver Internal Communications plan and tactics, aligned to One James Fisher (OJF).
• Develop and support External Communications plan and tactics.
• Manage and deliver key tradeshows and events, in partnership with the wider team.
• Support key leadership engagement and meetings e.g. QBRs, strategy, safety stand-downs and more.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in marketing, business or related degree preferable.
• Experienced Marketing Comms generalist, ideally in a similar in-house role or agency.
• Strong creative background, design and campaigns.
• Maritime or other related industry knowledge/background will be preferable.
• Extensive experience in internal/external communication campaigns and events.
• Experience working with leadership teams, delivering to high standards.
• Experience in business transformation and strategy will be beneficia.
• Experience in managing budgets.
• A clear understanding of data compliance, GDPR and best practices for data governance, storage and processing and ability to build and develop processes accordingly.
• Strong sense of ownership; excellent with project/time management.
• Team player with outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail is essential; must be metrics-driven and results-oriented.
