Job Description

Join Nory as a Senior Product Engineer on the Inventory squad, tackling complex backend challenges in data modelling and distributed systems. You will own features end-to-end, from shaping product direction based on customer feedback to shipping high-reliability systems. This remote-first role offers high autonomy in a fast-paced, Series B environment.

What You Will Do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex backend systems, including API design, data modelling, and real-time POS integrations.
• Collaborate in lean, cross-functional squads with product, design, and data to translate customer feedback into robust, production-ready software.
• Design and maintain resilient distributed services, ensuring system reliability through idempotency, retries, and observability.

The ideal candidate

• Has at least four years of production engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping backend systems for external customers.
• Possesses full-stack capability, comfortable working in React and TypeScript while maintaining a strong "backend-first" ownership mindset.
• Demonstrates a history of end-to-end personal ownership and the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs in high-stakes, constrained environments.
