As a Senior Data Scientist in the Public Services unit, you will lead project teams to build bespoke AI solutions for departments like the NHS and HMRC. What You Will Do

• Lead high-impact project teams to deliver bespoke algorithms and high-stakes AI solutions to various public sector clients.
• Conceive core data science approaches and design robust software architectures for new engagements while ensuring rigorous technical delivery.
• Partner with commercial teams to shape project scope and build deep relationships with senior stakeholders in government departments.

The ideal candidate

• Proven expertise in Python (NumPy, Pandas) and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, with a strong background in professional data science.
• Prior experience in consulting or working within UK government departments such as HMRC, DWP, or DSIT to translate complex problems into mathematical frameworks.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) and demonstrated experience in leading technical teams, mentoring junior scientists, and managing delivery timelines.
