You will join the Core Discovery team to build and scale the backend systems powering maps, location services, and directory search. This high-ownership role involves designing scalable architectures in Node.js and TypeScript. You'll drive the product from architecture to production, ensuring members discover meaningful connections through innovative geospatial and search solutions.

What You Will Do

• Build and lead key components of Core Discovery services, specifically focusing on geospatial data indexing, proximity queries, and mapping surfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers and data scientists, to ensure solutions are comprehensive and user-focused.
• Own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), implementing agile methodologies and CI/CD practices while ensuring high system scalability.

The ideal candidate

• Has 6+ years of software development experience with a track record of delivering scalable and maintainable backend systems in fast-moving environments.
• Possesses deep production expertise in geospatial data and mapping systems, along with mastery in Node.js, TypeScript, and system architecture.
• Demonstrates strong fundamentals in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with a mindset for adopting new AI tools and search technologies like Elasticsearch.
