Digital Web Designer

Position Overview

IZIGROUP has an exciting opportunity for a talented Digital Web Designer. Reporting to the Senior Frontend Developer, this role combines strong visual design with hands-on SEO and WordPress expertise, ensuring our sites are discoverable by both search engines and AI systems across multiple brands, markets and server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain responsive WordPress websites across multiple brands, ensuring quality, consistency and performance.
• Own SEO end to end — technical, on-page and content structure — so that page’s rank on search engines and are accurately read, cited and surfaced by AI systems and LLMs.
• Implement structured data, semantic HTML, clean content hierarchies and llms.txt where relevant, making content machine-readable and AI-friendly.
• Create and maintain documentation on design guidelines, SEO checklists, WordPress theme structures and deployment procedures.
• Translate business and marketing goals into UX flows, wireframes and high-fidelity designs that convert.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Content and Development teams to ship landing pages, campaign pages and content hubs.
• Act as a hands-on problem solver for design, WordPress, SEO and performance issues across the digital estate.

SEO & AI Discoverability:

• Run technical SEO audits and fixes: site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation, internal linking and redirects.
• Optimise content and metadata for search engines and AI-driven answer engines (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.).
• Apply structured data (Schema.org), semantic markup and clean URL architecture so crawlers and LLMs can parse content accurately.
• Monitor performance through Google Search Console, GA4 and tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush, reporting on rankings, traffic and AI-driven visibility.

Key Requirements:

• Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
• Demonstrated design portfolio — this is a must. No portfolio, no consideration.
• Proven hands-on SEO experience from A to Z, with documented projects and measurable results in rankings, traffic and AI visibility.
• Strong WordPress experience, including custom themes, plugin management and performance optimisation.
• Solid command of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and responsive design, comfortable hand-coding rather than relying only on page builders.
• Good understanding of UX, information architecture and conversion-focused design.
• Experience deploying and maintaining sites across multiple servers, with working knowledge of Git, staging environments and release workflows.
• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch (or similar) and familiarity with design systems.
• Excellent communicator, able to justify design and SEO decisions with data and evidence.
• Strong attention to detail, from pixel-level design to schema markup and meta configuration.
• Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and algorithm updates.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to the iGaming, online casino or sports betting industry.
• Experience with JavaScript, Vue.js or headless WordPress setups.
• Familiarity with ACF, WPML, Avada and CRO tools (Hotjar, Clarity, VWO).
• Basic knowledge of Cloudflare, cPanel and CI/CD pipelines.
