Our client, 7Gen, is on a mission to accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation, not just for today but for the generations to come. Inspired by the 7th Generation Principle, they help companies make meaningful, lasting shifts toward cleaner mobility by removing the complexity from fleet electrification.
They work with leading brands, from logistics giants like DHL and FedEx to growing last-mile operators, to design, deliver, and support high-performance electric fleet solutions across North America that actually work in the field.
Rather than simply leasing electric vehicles, their EV-as-a-Service model bundles everything fleets need into one scalable, tailored offering: vehicles, charging infrastructure, financing, and intuitive software. It is built to be flexible, capital-efficient, and easy to operate.
7Gen is built by a team that understands both the operational demands and the long-term stakes. They are here to build real-world momentum toward a cleaner transportation future, one vehicle, one route, and one partnership at a time.
As a growing company, 7Gen offers a unique opportunity to help shape the culture and systems from the ground up without legacy overhead. They offer a mission-driven, fast-moving environment where high-performing talent can directly shape the future of zero-emission mobility.
Why This Role, Why Now
7Gen is investing in marketing that reflects the strength and sophistication of its leadership in the fleet electrification space. With a proven offering, growing customer base, and expanding national presence, 7Gen is investing in a marketing function to match its momentum and market leadership. As electric commercial vehicle adoption accelerates across Canada and the U.S., this role arrives at a pivotal moment to define how 7Gen shows up in the market — with clarity, consistency, and impact.
This newly created role will focus on driving awareness, fueling sales, and defining a category. As the company’s dedicated marketing hire, the Marketing Manager will lay the foundation for a high-impact function, building the strategy, tech stack, tools, and systems to elevate a fast-scaling business with national reach and industry influence. This is a rare opportunity to bring energy, creativity, and long-term thinking into a role that shapes a brand’s identity while supporting meaningful climate progress.
This role is based in Portland, Oregon.
The Role
This is a hands-on, full-stack marketing role focused on execution, alignment, and results — with a core emphasis on demand generation and sales enablement. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a consistent brand presence, shaping content strategy, managing external-facing channels, and producing compelling marketing materials that support pipeline growth.
You’ll turn internal knowledge into clear messaging, collaborate cross-functionally to capture customer value stories, and deliver repeatable, data-informed campaigns that drive reach, engagement, and conversion.
This role is ideal for someone who sees marketing as a tool for growth, clarity, and momentum, and who gets excited about building something from scratch.
This is the perfect role for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, make things happen, and build a function that scales with the business.
You will collaborate closely with the Sales and RevOps teams to support lead generation, improve conversion, and optimize the funnel through targeted campaigns, nurture sequences, and referral-driven demand generation.
You’ll also play a core role in integrating and supporting sales campaigns, aligning email sequences, digital initiatives, and collateral with pipeline goals.
This role will be instrumental in supporting 7Gen’s broader company modernization, brand refresh, and articulation of a distinct visual voice. You’ll be the lead architect of how 7Gen’s brand shows up, visually, verbally, and strategically, across every channel.
You’ll also collaborate with 7Gen’s Product Marketing Manager to translate technical insights into campaign messaging, build aligned positioning, and ensure cohesion across demand generation and product-focused marketing efforts.
