The role is 100% remote CST/EST. This is a W2 opportunity with itD and contracted at a Fortune 500 client in Silicon Valley. The individual selected will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver excellence to our base of leading global accounts.

You will also interact closely with itD's Communities of Practice (CoP), expand your network, and grow your career. This is a unique chance to meet others who think differently and are passionate about challenging the status quo!

The Internal Responsibilities Will Be As Follows

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
• Complete client case studies and learning material. (Blogs, media material).
• Build out material to contribute to Digital Transformation practice.
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Remote CST/EST

Compensation: Hourly DOE + full benefits

Duration: 24 months contingent upon budget and personal performance

Interview: 2 Rounds, 60 minute Webex video

Years of Experience: 7yrs+

About The Role

In this role you’ll be the primary DevOps engineer for the Vulnerability Management Development team. You’ll work to make sure our infrastructure is responsive and resilient. You’ll work with individual developers to create a productive development environment on their local machines. You’ll work with the overall team to design and deploy our application architecture in a container environment. You’ll ensure our systems are secure by following relevant standards and performing patching and upgrades. You’ll constantly research and suggest new tools or methodologies which can make our development more productive, well-tested, and secure.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7yrs+ Tech and Enterprise industry work experience
• Right to work in the country of residence for a minimum of 24 months
• Fluent English communication skills required
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and OpenStack
• Significant experience with Ansible operation and playbook creation
• Bash shell scripting experience
• Experience creating and maintaining Python development environments on both Windows (preferably using WSL2) and MacOS systems
• Extensive experience with Github
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience in Linux system administration
• Strong ability to manage projects
• Experience with Postgres databases
• Experience with Python programming
• Independent and proactive contributator
• Project owner with confidence and leadership attributes

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

• Experience with Helm chart development or Kustomize
• Experience managing cloud environments such as AWS or GCS
• AI knowledge and experience
• A breast of tech product market trends
• Previous tech experience: Cisco, Meta, Google, Apple, Microsoft
