About the Role

Client is seeking a Software Engineer (Developer) to join its Technology Command. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications and integrations that underpin critical operational and corporate services.

You’ll work in a hybrid, agile environment alongside personnel to modernise and sustain foundational technology platforms, strengthen cybersecurity, and enhance collaboration across policing and partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Analyse complex ICT business issues and recommend design solutions

✔ Design and update system artefacts to reflect proposed changes

✔ Develop and maintain applications in C# .NET, REST APIs, Oracle 11g/12c/PL-SQL, JavaScript, and VB6

✔ Implement proposed changes and coordinate with testing, release management, and operations teams

✔ Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives

✔ Work effectively in an Agile delivery environment

✔ Mentor and transfer knowledge to other teams

✔ Ensure compliance with governance, documentation, and information management requirements

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

🔹 Demonstrated experience in software development across multiple technologies (C# .NET, REST APIs, Oracle, PL-SQL, JavaScript, VB6)

🔹 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

🔹 Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders

🔹 Ability to mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to colleagues

🔹 Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping current with ICT trends

Contract Details

📅 Start Date: 30 January 2026

📆 Duration: 12 months, with extension options (up to 24 months)

📍 Location: Multiple states across Australia (Hybrid working considered)
