About the Role

We are supporting the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) to engage multiple APS6-equivalent Full Stack Developers for major digital transformation programs across Australia’s biosecurity, cargo, and agricultural export systems.

You will work within the Digital Business Division (DBD), contributing to mission-critical applications that protect Australia’s borders and modernise regulatory and risk-management systems.

If you are a full-stack engineer comfortable across React + .NET Core, this is an excellent long-term government opportunity.

What You’ll Work On

✔ Build and enhance large-scale digital applications

✔ Develop modern UI components using React, Typescript, Material UI

✔ Design & build backend services using .NET Core, C#, Web API

✔ Deliver clean, secure and scalable code

✔ Integrate applications with cloud platforms & internal systems

✔ Work in an Agile, cross-functional team

✔ Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

✔ Optimise SQL queries and relational databases (SQL Server)

Must Have Skills

🔹 Strong React / Typescript / modern JS experience

🔹 .NET Core, C#, Web API, RESTful services

🔹 SQL Server development + performance optimisation

🔹 Git & Azure DevOps (CI/CD)

🔹 Experience in large-scale system delivery

🔹 Strong problem-solving & communication skills

🔹 Agile (SCRUM) team experience

Nice to Have

✔ Cloud experience (Azure / AWS / GCP)

✔ Material UI and modern design systems

✔ PowerShell scripting

✔ Full stack exposure across multiple stacks
