Circa 70k + Equity but open to discussion DOE

Remote (UK based), ideally able to travel to London

A VC backed early-stage tech business we are supporting is looking to make a key hire in its first full time Software Engineer.

Working closely with the Founders and CTO there is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven Engineer, to help take ownership and build a product from the ground up.

The product has the potential of making a significant improvement in the property sector, both commercial and residential, from cost saving to sustainability.

What will you be doing?

You’ll join a small, agile product squad and take full ownership across their tech stack. This includes:

• Build and refine React/TypeScript web apps and the AWS‑backed services that power them.
• Integrate mapping and geospatial components for lightning‑fast, data‑rich user experiences.
• Write and maintain robust unit and end‑to‑end tests (Jest, Cypress).
• Shape architecture, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure to keep everything secure and scalable.
• Drive sprint planning, code reviews and retros your voice will carry weight from day one.

What do they need from you?

• Experience in developing and shipping end to end software products.
• Commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
• Comfortable building serverless or containerised back‑ends on AWS (Amplify, DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFormation or similar).
• Familiarity with mapping libraries (MapLibre, Mapbox, Leaflet)
• Strong TDD/CI mindset and Git fluency.
• Experience of delivering clean UI and a passion for turning complex data into simple, delightful workflows.
