The Role:
This role is designed with a unique and strategic onboarding experience. During your first 4–6 months, you will focus on consultative sales conversations with prospective clients, not in a traditional sales capacity, but as a way to:
- Deeply learn Ironpaper’s methodology and frameworks
- Build confidence in articulating Ironpaper’s growth solutions
- Be able to diagnose client challenges and align them to marketing opportunities in alignment with Ironpaper’s approach
- Strengthen your consultative influence skills
This initial phase is critical preparation for your long-term role in marketing leadership. After the ramp period, you will transition into one of two functions, depending on agency needs and your strengths:
- Pod Leader: Lead a portfolio of client relationships, oversee strategic direction, and mentor a cross-functional team
- Head of Marketing Performance: Drive results across assigned accounts by project managing performance plans and leading value-focused client meetings that create strong client relationships.
Regardless of the final placement, your day-to-day will blend strategic client leadership, marketing performance management, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth outcomes for B2B organizations.
Your Essential Skills:
- 8+ years of combined experience in any of the following: B2B marketing leadership, consultative sales, RevOps, Strategy/Growth leadership, large portfolio management, or large team management.
- Build trusted relationships with both team members and clients, bringing clarity, empathy, and strategic direction to complex or high-pressure moments. Leads pivotal planning conversations and strategic shifts with confidence and composure, driving momentum and alignment..
- Strong analytic skills with an ability to derive insights from client marketing data and communicate those insights both verbally and through presentation decks.
- Natural storyteller who inspires teams and clients through compelling narratives that clarify direction and spark action.
- Bring a broad understanding of key marketing disciplines, including ABM, SEO, paid media, event marketing, and more. Knows which levers to pull when, to drive meaningful results.
- Connect the dots across workstreams to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution to achieve client outcomes.
- Define clear success metrics and client goals, and continuously evaluate progress to guide strategic pivots that maximize impact.

Extra credit for:
- Experience explaining insights to both technical and non-technical audiences and executive levels within the IT, manufacturing, or energy industries
- MBA in marketing or business
- Experience working within a HubSpot agency or directly at HubSpot
- Advanced knowledge of HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot, or other CRM platforms
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project management frameworks
- Advanced AI skills
