Ironbelly Studios is seeking a talented UI/UX Artist to join our team in creating a blockbuster extraction shooter built in Unreal Engine 5. As a Montreal-based studio with 16 years of experience and over 300 projects under our belt, we're looking for someone passionate about crafting exceptional user experiences for hardcore PC gaming.

🎮 About the Project

You'll be working on an intensely competitive extraction shooter targeting veteran FPS players who demand tactical depth, responsive controls, and solid networking performance. This project features robust multiplayer gameplay with complex systems including advanced AI, inventory management, loot systems, and persistent player progression. It's a requirement to have direct experience with the Unreal Engine 5 to be considered for this role.💼 Role & Responsibilities

Design and create intuitive UI/UX solutions for complex gameplay systems including inventory management, weapon customization, and player progression
Develop visual designs for in-game interfaces, menus, and HUD elements that enhance the competitive gaming experience
Implement UI mockups in Unreal Engine using UMG, including basic animations and interactive elements
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of UI systems
Create and maintain UI style guides, ensuring consistency across all interface elements
Design iconography and visual elements that support the game's tactical, hardcore aesthetic
Prototype and test UI flows to optimize user experience for fast-paced competitive gameplay
Work with the team to balance visual appeal with functional clarity for high-stakes gaming scenarios

✅ Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably for video games
Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design for interactive media
Proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Adobe XD
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Unreal Engine and UMG for implementation and testing
Understanding of user experience principles and interface design best practices
Experience designing for competitive or action-oriented gaming experiences
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts clearly
