Fast Hands, Sharp Eyes. Designer Wanted.
IRON is looking for a Designer who can move fast, stay precise, and create polished digital retail work for brands like Levi’s, adidas, Hydro Flask, Ray-Ban, and more.
We’re a 30+ person digital agency specializing in building the digital retail content that enterprise brands run at scale. This is a 3-month contract role which may have the opportunity to extend.
You’ll work creatively within established brand systems, campaign toolkits, and existing artwork, extending them into clean, on-brand work across many formats. This is not primarily a blue-sky concepting role; we’re hiring for disciplined, high-quality execution inside established creative frameworks.
The right designer is meticulous, fast, collaborative, and proud of getting the details right. You’ll work closely with creative directors, art directors, designers, project managers, and account managers across teams.
If you can balance speed, taste, precision, and flawless execution, this role may be for you. Send your portfolio and rate requirements to the email address listed below.
About the Role
- Extend and adapt established brand and campaign creative across digital channels — websites, online display, mobile and social, email, and video storytelling
- Participate in and contribute to creative brainstorms and collaborative work with the creative team
- Reflect and help shape client brand design systems across digital channels
- Execute the design strategy in partnership with senior creative management
- Collaborate with other designers while managing your own work independently, under tight deadlines and across multiple projects
- Apply a critical eye to your own work — ensuring it reflects sound design principles, adheres to brand guidelines, and responds effectively to the brief
- Confidently present creative solutions to teams, stakeholders, and clients, articulating and rationalizing your design decisions with strategic insight
- Build and maintain positive relationships across client and internal account, creative, and PM teams
- Contribute to the development of the creative and account teams, including feedback and development discussions
How You’ll Grow with the Agency
- Collaborate and partner with other designers (contract or staff) as needed
- Help manage and maintain creative assets in an organized manner
- Adopt and integrate AI tools into your design workflow to work faster and sharper, and share what's working with the broader team
- Support agency growth through ongoing learning and skill-building
- Stay current on design and marketing trends and cultural moments, bringing fresh ideas to the team
- Participate in the strategic development of the agency and the IRON Creative brand (processes, ideas, competencies, innovations, products, business models, etc.)
The Ideal Candidate
- 5 years of design experience
- Proven ability to work within and extend existing brand guidelines, toolkits, and creative systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to understand complex information hierarchies and communicate them through typography and design
- Knowledge of visual trends and design best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with AI design tools and a willingness to build them into your workflow
- Advanced - Expert-level Figma; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (ID, AI, PS).
- Animation skills, motion design, or editing (proficiency in After Effects) is not required, but is a nice-to-have
- West Coast hours required; fully remote position.
What We Offer
- 3-month contract with 3- or 6-month extension potential
- Remote role, West Coast hours (PDT)
- Hands-on training in the platforms that power retail content for major brands
- A team that works hard, cares about the work, and doesn’t make agency life harder than it needs to be
- A strengths-based culture where the right person gets noticed fast
About The Company
IRON Creative was founded in 2003. We are a 30+ person digital agency, specializing in supercharging content marketing for B2B technology businesses and optimizing the digital retail presence of fashion and lifestyle brands.
We’ve handled virtually every type of project, and we’ve done it with a do-or-die attitude that’s earned the trust and long-term loyalty of clients like Salesforce, Slack, Levi’s, and Adidas.
We produce a lot of work to a very high standard and we do it very quickly – but along the way, we aim to make the agency a place where we all want to work. So if you have ideas that would make you love your job more, we’ll want to hear them.
(That said, we have already vetted the “everybody gets a pony” idea and it’s just not compatible with most peoples’ living situations.)
If This Sounds Like a Good Fit
