Senior Software Engineer

Our harmonized ISO15189 accredited and CLIA/CAP clinical laboratories offer a test menu focused on biomarkers which are clinically actionable to support therapeutic decisions, measurable residual disease (MRD) testing, patient stratification, and trial enrollment, all designed to accelerate approvals of new oncology drugs and treatments.

We are looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to our Software Development Team. S/he will design, develop, administer, and maintain the Company’s web and/or desktop applications. Serves as technical lead for at least one project or product line.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Designs, develops, administers, and maintains the Company’s web and/or desktop applications. Serves as technical lead for at least one project or product line.
• Ability and willingness to take responsibility for many elements of the SDLC; help with requirements gathering to the assessment and triage of customer feedback and post-market surveillance.
• Develops scalable and maintainable applications using best practice design standards and design patterns. Uses performance metrics to optimize configurations.
• Suggests process improvements and drives the implementation of them.
• Maintains detailed documentation as required by SOPs.
• Performs peer code reviews.
• Mentors junior and mid-level developers.
• Evaluates emerging technologies, trends, and standards. Researches, recommends, and applies new technologies as appropriate.

You Bring:

• BS Degree in computer science or related scientific discipline and, typically, 5+ years of applicable experience with software QA testing web-based applications and desktop products. Equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience may be considered.
• Experience building complex software systems and delivering them to customers.
• Mastery of Java, WebAPIs and business logic.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Advanced knowledge of RDBMS/SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, bioinformatics algorithms/pipelines and SaMD (Software as a Medical Device)

Additional Desired Experience:

• Cloud experience
• Frontend/UI experience. Vue.js a plus.
• UX experience
• Familiarity with using AI tools to aid software development
• Gradle
• GitLab experience, especially CI
