Job Overview

We’re looking for a Mid-weight Experience Designer to join our multidisciplinary Experience Design (XD) team at Inviqa. The role is a combination of Research and traditional UX / UI work, that could also be described as a Product Designer role.

You’ll be part of a small team of Experience Designers that share a passion for crafting compelling, evidence-based and beautiful customer experiences.

You will be comfortable working across discovery and delivery, contributing to research, design direction and optimisation across digital product engagements. You’ll take ownership of defined workstreams, collaborate closely with both senior and junior team members, and help shape solutions that balance user needs with business goals.

This role suits a developing practitioner who combines solid UX / UI craft with growing confidence in research, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

User Research & Discovery

  • Plan and conduct user research activities (interviews, usability testing, surveys) with support where needed
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to uncover meaningful insights
  • Contribute to workshops (e.g. discovery, ideation, journey mapping), with increasing confidence in facilitation
  • Support the synthesis of research into clear outputs such as insights, journey maps, personas and opportunity areas
  • Help identify user needs and translate them into actionable problem statements

UX & UI Design

  • Contribute to and independently carry out audits of existing experiences and the concepting of solutions based on research, strategy and data
  • Create clear wireframes, user flows and low to mid fidelity prototypes to explore and communicate ideas
  • Contribute to high-fidelity designs for new experiences and optimisation work
  • Ensure quality, consistency and accessibility are considered throughout the design process
  • Work with and contribute to design systems and component libraries
  • Present design work to internal and client stakeholders at key stages of projects, with support where needed

Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, strategy, design) in agile and traditional delivery environments
  • Prepare design documentation and assets for development teams
  • Collaborate with senior designers to align on approach, priorities and design direction
  • Contribute to a positive team culture through feedback, collaboration and knowledge sharing

Continuous Learning

  • Stay informed about design trends, UX methodologies, accessibility standards and product thinking
  • Engage in training, internal knowledge sharing and team critiques
  • Proactively seek feedback to improve craft, communication and confidence

Your Skills And Approach

You will be aligned to Inviqa’s values - Purpose, Human, Open, Learning and Together. This means that you’re goal driven and deliver on your commitments, you empathise with clients and colleagues, you share knowledge and give honest feedback, you have a thirst for learning and you collaborate as a default.

We are looking for enthusiastic people that exhibit many of the following skills:

  • Experience contributing to end-to-end research and design across digital products or services
  • Good understanding of UX methodologies, human-centred design and product thinking
  • Proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools
  • Experience designing responsive digital experiences
  • Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to apply them
  • Comfortable using research and analytics to inform design decisions

Research & Problem Solving

  • Ability to independently analyse research inputs and contribute to insight generation
  • Comfortable translating research into design outputs and recommendations
  • Developing confidence in framing problems, generating ideas and validating solutions

AI Awareness in Design & Research

  • Familiar with AI-powered tools across design and research workflows and how they can support efficiency
  • Aware of their limitations and able to use them responsibly within design processes

Soft Skills

  • Proactive, with a strong curiosity and a desire to learn and develop
  • Able to manage defined tasks and contribute to broader project streams
  • Strong collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams
  • Good communication and presentation skills, with growing confidence in stakeholder interactions

  • You’ll be given a real voice and increasing ownership of your work
  • Personal development is a big thing here at Inviqa, you’ll be given time for training and conferences and we will support you to grow your career
  • You get to work as part of a brilliant team, we share and collaborate on a daily basis and we make a real effort to make sure you have a good work life balance
