Senior Java Software Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of mission-critical finance features. You’ll work in a collaborative environment, contributing to system architecture, writing high-quality code with Spring Boot, and mentoring junior engineers. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our platform, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and development of finance-related features.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested Java code using Spring Boot.
• Ensuring high performance, scalability, and adherence to software design principles.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Participating in code reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Mentoring junior developers and promoting a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot in enterprise-level applications.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture (e.g., microservices) and SOLID principles.
• Experience with performance optimization and reliable software design.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Spoken and written English language proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or finance domains.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
• Exposure to front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
