Engineering Program Manager (Patient-Facing Products)

We are currently seeking an Engineering Program Manager to join our client’s engineering team, which specializes in the healthcare technology sector.

This is not a traditional PMO role or one focused on transformation. The client is seeking a

highly execution-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will be embedded within the engineering teams, working directly with developers, architects, and product stakeholders to drive the development of complex products, from planning through to production launch.

This role requires strong technical credibility, a sense of responsibility, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in dynamic product engineering environments with multiple dependencies and stakeholders

• Remote Work / Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)
• Contract Type: Open-ended service contract. Seeking a long-term relationship.
• Salary: Open to negotiation

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end execution of complex product engineering initiatives, from planning

through launch.

• Work directly with backend, frontend, data, and infrastructure teams to coordinate

execution and delivery.

• Manage technical dependencies across multiple teams and proactively identify risks

impacting timelines or launches.

• Drive execution-heavy product delivery, ensuring teams remain aligned and unblock

issues quickly.

• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to support technical decisionmaking and trade-off discussions.

• Facilitate release planning, launch coordination, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking.

• Monitor delivery progress, escalations, blockers, and mitigation plans across initiatives.

• Translate technical complexity into clear communication for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Ensure product launches are coordinated, scalable, and operationally ready.

• Balance speed, quality, and technical constraints while maintaining delivery momentum.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a

related technical field preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering Program Management or technical delivery leadership

roles.

• Strong experience embedded within product engineering organizations.

• Proven track record leading complex product builds from concept to production.

• Experience working directly with engineering teams in backend, frontend, platform,

infrastructure, or data environments.

• Strong understanding of system architectures, APIs, technical dependencies, and

distributed systems concepts.

• Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks before they impact delivery.

• Experience coordinating releases and launches involving multiple stakeholders and

engineering teams.

• Strong execution mindset with demonstrated ownership over delivery outcomes.

• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and related collaboration tools.

• Strong communication skills with a structured, organized, and corporate communication

style.

• Ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly across technical and business

audiences.

• Advanced English level (spoken and written).

• Experience in healthcare, health tech, or highly regulated industries.

• Prior experience as a software engineer, solutions architect, or technical lead is a strong

plus.

• Experience operating in Big Tech-style environments with high standards for ownership

and execution.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and technical

complexity.
