Principal Software Engineer (Robotics Simulation)
Location: Remote (U.S.) or Hybrid (South Florida)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Overview
We're seeking a Principal Software Engineer to develop and enhance a next-generation digital twin and robotics simulation environment. This role will focus on robotics simulation, physics modeling, sensor integration, and supporting future AI and workflow optimization initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to build scalable simulation capabilities for advanced robotic systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance a digital twin simulation environment.
- Migrate existing simulation assets into NVIDIA Isaac Sim.
- Build articulated robot simulations and integrate with ROS2.
- Develop physics models for robotic interactions.
- Integrate sensor models and support workflow optimization.
- Collaborate with software and robotics engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and present technical progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software engineering or robotics experience.
- Strong Python development in Linux.
- Experience with robotics simulation tools such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Webots, Unity, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with robotics hardware, CAD modeling, and physics simulation.
