Senior Software Engineer - Python Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Architect/Team Lead to guide our engineering team in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python development, system design, and architecture, along with proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers.

This role requires a balance of hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, and leadership to ensure our applications are efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design

• Define and maintain the technical architecture for Python-based applications.

• Evaluate and recommend frameworks, tools, and technologies to ensure scalability and performance.

• Create high-level and low-level design documents, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

• Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Python developers.

• Oversee code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain coding standards.

• Manage task allocation, sprint planning, and ensure timely delivery of features.

• Development & Implementation

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code.

• Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and DevOps best practices.

• Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design end-to-end solutions.

• Quality & Security

• Ensure application security, performance optimization, and compliance with industry standards.

• Monitor and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Python development, including frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and message queues.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architectural trade-offs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing small to medium-sized teams.
