Intellitech Solutions is hiring a contract-based backend developer to support an enterprise-scale software platform. You’ll work directly with client-side engineers and product stakeholders to help build and evolve a modern microservice-based ecosystem leveraging Java and AWS.

This is a long-term contract with stable work, ideal for a mid- to senior-level developer who’s strong with backend services, cloud infrastructure, and asynchronous processing patterns.

Tech Stack

• Java microservices

• AWS (with strong emphasis on CDK in TypeScript)

• Docker + AWS EKS

• Vert.x (used internally; experience helpful but not required)

• React.js (frontend familiarity is a bonus)

• Threading, caching, async development

• RabbitMQ, Tomcat, and related tooling

Requirements

• 4+ years of Java development experience

• Solid AWS background, especially with CDK and serverless architecture

• Understanding of distributed systems and async patterns

• Experience with Docker and cloud deployments

• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills

• Must be located within 200 miles of Englewood Cliffs, NJ for quarterly in-person meetings

Position Details

• Start: ASAP

• Rate: Up to $90/hr, depending on experience

• Type: 1099 or C2C Contract

• Term: Ongoing (renewed annually)

• Work Setup: 95% remote with quarterly on-site meetings
